Two Person Hot Tubs

Brad Burns asked:

When you feel tired and stressed at the end of a hard day, then what better way to relax than in a hot tub? Getting into that hot swirling water and just feeling the tension evaporate is magical, but is a hot tub right for you, or will it be too big and expensive?

You see, many people would love a hot tub in their garden, but do not go ahead and get one because they believe that it will be too big and impractical, fortunately for them this is no longer the case. These days, there are hot tubs specifically designed for two people available, and of course as you can imagine, they are a lot smaller than your standard hot tub. Now as you can imagine, these small two person hot tubs go down a storm with people that have limited space, or simply do not see the need to have a great big traditional hot tub taking up half of their garden. But what are the main advantages of having a two person tub?

Well besides the obvious space saving benefits of having this kind of small tub, in a way it is also more hygienic as you will not be sharing it with all your friends and family (which if you ask me is the best reason of all not to get one!)

Also, another advantage of purchasing a smaller tub is the practicality of getting it into the garden. By that I mean because of its compact size it is easier to get through a door, rather than having to pay money for things like getting a crane or something similar to hoist it into your garden for you. Also, If you live in a country such as the UK which tends to have cold winters and not too hot summers, then a small two person hot tub could go in something like a conservatory, which will enable you to be able to use it all year round.

Price wise you can get a small tub very reasonably these days, from anywhere between $2000-$4000, which is not too bad when you consider how much you could be paying for a standard size tub. Also, when you compare it against a bigger tub, you are also going to make huge savings on your water bill as you wont be needing to use as much to fill your tub And of course, this in turn reduces your electricity bill as there is less water to heat.

How to Spot a Cheap Hot Tub Cover

Shawn Parker asked:

If you’ve ever owned a Hot Tub you know how important it is to have a good cover. It keeps bugs out, heat in, and costs low. The average temperature is 90 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. In order to maintain that constant temperature you must have a good cover. Most people want to save a few hundred dollars on a cover after they’ve just spent thousands on the spa and all the accessories. If you choose to save a few hundred dollars up front, I must warn you, you’re going to pay thousands in the long run. Without a good cover your hot tub is going to endure more wear and tear than it has too. The motor is going to work more because it has to keep that steady temperature.

Hot tub covers are like anything else that is manufactured. You have different levels of quality for different types of people. The high quality covers are made with top grade vinyl that stands up to harsh weather conditions. These are the obvious choice for a hot tub that’s outside. For the inside you can get the middle of the road cover and be perfectly safe. Never choose the cheap vinyl that’s see through and light as a feather.

The inside of the cover should consist of an aquatic grade foam core instead of the cheaper construction grade that many retailers like to sell you. The construction grade foam is not resistant to water. It also lets about 30% more heat escape because of how thin it is. The aquatic grade foam is resistant to water and keeps up to 30% more heat inside.

How can you tell the difference between the two? The cheap cover is going to be extremely light, flimsy, and could have a nice cover to disguise the inner layers. The higher quality covers are going to be heavy and durable. Most of them will have handles to make lifting safer for you and the cover. There is no doubt that you’ll know a good hot tub cover when you see one.

How would you like to own your own Resort Quality Hot Tub, Spa or Swim Spa for pennies on the Dollar?
